In photos: the Tall Ships Festival in Dublin

Ice-cream, piracy, and dramatic cloud cover…

THE TALL SHIPS are due to set sail from Dublin city tomorrow morning following their brief stopover in the Irish capital. The event’s organisers recommend the city centre docklands, Howth and Dun Laoghaire as the top spots to watch the ships depart in the morning. The Parade of Sail preparations begin at 11am sharp tomorrow.

Meanwhile, crowds have been flocking to see the ships in Dublin’s docklands and to enjoy the range of family activities, gigs and events taking place in parallel with the Tall Ships’ visit:
