1. #CELBRIDGE: A man in his 20s was arrested following the death of a man at a house in Celbridge, Co Kildare yesterday. Gardaí were called after the man, aged in his 30s, was discovered by paramedics yesterday evening.

2. #NEW ATTACKS: Russia launched its first airstrikes in Syria, a US official said, after President Vladimir Putin won parliamentary permission to use force abroad.

3. #PAY UP: Residents of a modern apartment block in Dublin’s docklands have been told to pay €4 million or face eviction. The apartments at Longboat Quay have major deficiencies with their fire safety standards that will be costly to fix.

4. #TECH GIANTS: Denis O’Brien is taking on the likes of Google, Facebook, and Yahoo by implementing ad-blocking technology across Digicel networks, Business Insider reports. The operator said ads can use as much as 10% of people’s bandwidth.

5. #RURAL CRIME: Fianna Fáil’s Micheal Martin has accused the Taoiseach of being “out of touch” with rural Ireland over the closure of garda stations.
