1. #IMF: The former head of the IMF mission to Ireland has admitted that the austerity-only policy chosen for the handling of our bailout was a mistake. Ashoka Mody said recent moves to make the terms of the loans more manageable was an indication that the tactics chosen for dealing with Ireland were the wrong ones.

2. #CLAMPING: New regulations on the clamping industry will see private clamping fees capped, probably at €80. Under the new rules, announced by Transport Minister Leo Varadkar today, clamping staff and their vehicles will also have to be clearly identifiable.

3. #MISSING: Gardaí have appealed for information about missing man Przemyslaw Korejwo who was last seen at his home in Cork on 5 April. He is described as being 5ft 10 inches in height with short brown hair, brown eyes and a sallow complexion. Meanwhile the coast guard is continuing to search for two people who have been missing around the Cliffs of Moher and in Cork.

4. #THATCHER: Education Minister Ruairí Quinn will be attending the funeral of Margaret Thatcher on behalf of the Irish government next Wednesday. The British government has said that over 2,000 invitations will be sent out for the funeral with Downing Street today releasing an initial guest list.

5. #BLOOM-ING HELL: It has emerged that a commemorative €10 coin, released for sale by the Central Bank of Ireland yesterday to commemorate James Joyce, contains an error in its quote from Ulysses. The coins have been minted and are on sale for €46 each.
