1.#EBOLA: The HSE has ruled out Ebola as the cause of death of a man in Donegal. Dessie Quinn from Mountcharles had recently returned from Ebola-hit Sierra Leone when he died.

2.#TRAIN STRIKES: The communications manager for Irish Rail has called a strike planned for this weekend “insanity”. Barry Kenny was hitting out at a two-day plan by NBRU and SIPTU members over the weekend, as Mayo and Kerry fans head to Dublin for the All Ireland Senior Football semi-finals.

3.#RIP: Former Taoiseach Albert Reyolds will be laid to rest on Monday, it has been confirmed. Reynolds will lie in repose at Dublin’s Mansion House tomorrow from 1pm to 6pm.

4.#JAMES FOLEY: The family of journalist James Foley, who was killed by Islamic State militants earlier this week, have released a chilling email his captors sent them. Foley had been held captive for two years.

5.#LEGALISE IT: A new report from the European Commission has found that most Irish people aged from 15 to 24 supports the legalisation of cannabis. 56% of those polled said they would support the measure.
