2. #JOBS BOOST: 400 jobs have been announced for Co Meath today. Shire is to open a new biotech plant in the county at Piercetown, near Dunboyne, the IDA confirmed this afternoon.

3. #LUAS ROW: Transport minister Paschal Donohoe has criticised Luas operator Transdev for its plans to dock striking workers’ pay. All workers on the Luas service employed by Transdev were put on protective notice on Tuesday evening.
