1. #MH370: The Malaysian government has said the missing flight MH370 is assumed to have crashed in the Indian Ocean and that there were no survivors. Relatives of passengers were informed of the news by text message.

4. #COURTS: A  student who suffered a major head injury while playing a rugby match for his school has been awarded €2.75 million in damages in a settlement approved by the High Court, RTE reports.

5. #MISTAKEN IDENTITY: A group of thugs in Russia beat up members of a St Patrick’s Day-themed flashmob after mistaking them for gay activists. Oops.
