3. #SHOOTING An off-duty Missouri police officer fired 17 shots, killing a teenager in St Louis. Police say the teen fired at the officer – who was working as security person – first.

4. #GOOD NEWS Electric Ireland said today it will cut prices from next month by an average of 2%, meaning a typical household will save around €25 per year.

5. #MH17 One of the MH17 victims was wearing an oxygen mask when their body was found, the Dutch Foreign Minister confirmed. Dutch prosecutors are investigating.
