1.#REHAB The Public Accounts Committee is seeking more information from the Rehab Group. One TD, Mary Lou McDonald, said it was “deeply unsatisfactory” that its CEO Angela Kerins had been less than forthcoming on certain issues.

2. #PORTLAOISE The HSE’s chief medical officer has been questioned by an Oireachtas committee over the deaths of babies at Portlaoise Hospital. Dr Holohan was asked “Did it take a Prime Time programme to embarrass somebody to do something about this?”He also described the culture in the hospital as unacceptable.

3. #UKRAINE Ukrainian political leader, Vitali Klitschko, has said during his Dublin visit that his country must remain independent. In front of over 100 Ukrainian nationals, he told reporters he is grateful for Irish support.

4. #RIP A man aged 20 has died after his car collided with a tractor in Wicklow this morning, just outside Aughrim. The driver, a man aged 40, was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

5. #UGANDA It is “not appropriate” to cut Irish aid to Uganda over the country’s anti-gay laws, the Department of Foreign Affairs has told the Public Accounts Committee. Irish Aid is not going to assist the president of Uganda, or its parliament, PAC was also told.
