1. #CALLED OFF: All five Garth Brooks concerts have been cancelled. Aiken Promotions made the announcement today saying it “exhausted all avenues regarding the staging of this event” but that “No concerts will take place”. 2. #VACANT: The Government has announced that 1,008 vacant properties are to be ‘transformed into family homes‘.

3. #RESHUFFLE: The final meeting of the current Cabinet ministers took place this morning. Jobs Minister, Richard Bruton, said it was “a somewhat unusual occasion“.

4. #CAKE: A bakery in Northern Ireland refused to make a cake with a slogan supporting gay marriage. The Equality Commission is now pursuing the bakery.

5. #DATA PROTECTION: An Post is attempting to crackdown on TV licence evaders by using customer data from UPC and Sky but UPC is having none of it.
