1.#OPERATION TEMPEST: Gardaí in Dublin’s north inner city have arrested and charged dozens of heroin and cocaine dealers over the last few days. Under Operation Tempest, a number of stations and units combined to crack down on drug dealing in the area.

2.#CONTAINER: A Derry man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of a migrant in a container last week. Essex police yesterday confirmed that the man found dead in the container last Saturday was 40-year-old Meet Singh Kapoor from Afghanistan.

3.#ABORTION: Ireland is once again in the headlines. International media is focusing on a report that a suicidal, asylum-seeking rape victim was denied an abortion.

4.#GAZA: The ceasefire in Gaza has broken down after militants fired three rockets into Israel. The Israeli military says that it has responded with airstrikes.

5.#ROAD DEATH: An 82-year-old woman has died after her car struck a fence in Bundoran, Donegal. The woman was taken to Sligo General Hospital, but pronounced dead en route.
