1. #BANK OF IRELAND: Bank of Ireland told the Oireachtas Finance Committee today that it has 11,774 mortgages in default and has dealt with over 6,200 of those accounts.

2. #ARREST: Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of Henryk Piotrowski, whose body was found at a recycling facility.

3. #DELAYED: The Irish troops who were set to go to Golan Heights have had their trip delayed by up to three weeks “for administration reasons”.

4.#UNEMPLOYED: The latest unemployment figures released by the CSO show that the Live Register was down by 3,400 in August. More than 435,280 people signed on last month.

5. #NEW FACE: David McCullagh has been announced as the new replacement for Pat Kenny on RTE’s Prime Time programme.
