60 new jobs at Dublin fund administration company

Butterfield Fulcrum will more than double its Dublin workforce, based on quicker-than-expected growth in its business.

A FUND MANAGEMENT company in Dublin is to create 60 new jobs, more than doubling its current workforce, saying its business has grown far quicker than it expected.

Butterfield Fulcrum, one of the world’s largest fund administrators, set up in Dublin two years ago initially creating 40 jobs – but today announced it was growing that number 100.

The 60 new positions will be in the fields of fund administration, relationship management and finance.

The expansion follows a recent corporate takeover by industry executives.

Butterfield Fulcrum chief executive Glenn Henderson said the growth had come on foot of its Irish success thus far, and said the expansion was “in no small part due to the availability of a highly talented workforce”.

Barry O’Leary of IDA Ireland, which is supporting the expansion, said the financial services sector was an “integral part” of Ireland’s foreign investment plans.

Jobs minister Richard Bruton said he would ensure Ireland had “ambitious policies in place to take full advantage of the opportunities that exist in financial services, to achieve growth in the economy and get people back to work”.
