1. #BRAY: Locals in the seaside town have expressed their shock and dismay after a lone shooter opened fire at Bray Boxing Club, leaving one man dead and two others seriously injured.

2. #GUATEMALA: At least 75 people have been killed and almost 200 are missing after Guatemala’s Fuego volcano began erupting over the weekend, officials have said.

3. #LEAVING CERT: It’s D-Day for over 120,000 students around the country today as the Leaving and Junior Certificate examinations get under way.

4. #EUROMILLIONS: An Irish player won €17 million on the Euromillions draw last night.

5. #IRISH WATER: The state utility is today submitting an application as part of a €400 million investment to upgrade the Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Plant, which it says urgently needs upgrading.

6. #WEATHER: Temperatures are set to reach as high as 20 to 25 degrees today as a spell of good weather continues. But there will be some thundery downpours in the northwest and southwest later.

7. #TRUMP: French president Emmanuel Macron has refused to disclose the details of a call he held with US president Donald Trump, instead quoting German statesman Otto von Bismarck about laws and sausages: “It’s best not to see them being made”.

8. #PENSIONERS: Some pensioners are due to start getting a Telephone Support Allowance of €2.50 a week, which is aimed at people who live alone.

9. #LOUGH DERG: A man has died after getting into difficulty while swimming in Lough Derg in Galway yesterday evening.
