1. #PARIS UNDER ATTACK: French authorities are saying this morning that at least 120 people were killed in attacks at several locations in the country’s capital last night.

2. #STATE OF EMERGENCY: French police are looking for possible accomplices to the attackers responsible for the explosions and shootings, as President Francois Hollande declared a national state of emergency and tightened borders.

3. #IRISH RESPONSE: Taoiseach Enda Kenny has expressed his shock at the attacks, calling yesterday the “blackest of black days” for France. President Michael D Higgins also expressed his condolences last night, saying he had passed on his “deepest sympathies” to France’s ambassador to Ireland. 7. #DEATH SQUADS: Soon-to-be-revealed information about British army collision with loyalist paramilitary “death squads” is expected to shock the UK and Irish political classes, according to The Irish Independent.

8. GENDER QUOTAS: A new poll has found that most people oppose political parties being required to ensure a third of their candidates are female at the next general election.

9. #EMPLOYMENT APPEALS TRIBUNAL: A former presenter at one of the country’s most popular local radio stations has been awarded €26,000 for constructive dismissal.
