1.#BROKEN UP: The US has busted a major child porn ring, which used social media to lure 251 victims. Two victims were under the age of 3. The ring had more than 27,000 members, the US Department of Homeland Security said.

2.#CRIMEA: The world community has condemned Russia’s annexation of Crimea. Ukrainian leaders accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of “playing a dirty game” and creating his own version of Hitler’s Mein Kampf.

3.#FIRE: A woman arrested yesterday in connection with a fire in Cork that killed two men has been released. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions, gardaí said.

4.#CABRA: Gardaí are continuing to question two men in connection with the death of a man in Cabra in the early hours of yesterday. The two men, who are both in their 20s, are being held at Finglas and Blanchardstown Garda stations.

5.#MAKE MY BODY SHAKE: A minor earthquake hit Ireland late last night. Yes, an earthquake. The faint tremor was felt mostly in Wexford, with the Irish Seismic Network saying that their reading was of a “low magnitude”.

6.#TALK TO US: The government is reviewing how it engages with the diaspora. The Department of Foreign Affairs is looking to hear from Irish people living abroad as it carries out a comprehensive review of how it engages with Irish communities abroad.

7.#JOBS: Over 1,000 jobs will be offered at an employment fair today. Those seeking employment will need a passport, however, as the roles are all based in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

8.#KAMPALA: The Department of Foreign Affairs says that it aims to fill the one outstanding Irish ambassadorial role within the coming months. The job of Irish Ambassador to Uganda has been unfilled since August.

9.#BOOK OF FRANCIS: Pope Francis is proving to be a best seller – with Irish book buyers. Evangelii Gaudium, a book written solely by the Pope, has sold 11,000 copies since going on sale, says religious shop Veritas.
