AN AIR TRAFFIC control glitch is affecting some northern European flights, according to the BBC.

A problem at the Eurocontrol radar system earlier today has caused problems to flights in Germany and the Netherlands.

The glitch has been corrected, but some flight disruptions continue.

Air traffic capacity over western Europe was reduced by 25% during the problem, but is expected to return to normal shortly.

The Dublin Airport Authority has not commented on whether Irish flights have been affected. UK officials said that there had been minor disruptions to flights in and out of the UK.
