Get texting the flag! The tricolour emoji has been unfurled

A range of racially diverse emoji have also been released.

APPLE HAS JUST officially released it iOS 8.3, bringing over 300 new types of emoji for users, including the Irish tricolour.

The system update also includes emoji with a range of different skin colours.

Other than more Emojis to choose from, the update includes improved performance for app launches and other third party keyboards.

Apple is also expected to release another iPhone update within the coming months which could bring its long rumoured streaming music service to the iPhone.

To download the update, you must go into settings > General > System Updates and you will have the option of downloading it.
