Why has this not been reported before now?

She should have been described as being black. Are the Garda afraid of describing her skin colour? It’s not an issue so they shouldn’t ignore the most obvious clue to help find the girl.

Avoid making comment on her skin colour at all costs. Wouldn’t want to alert the pc police. Why do we have to leave out the most glaringly obvious way to describe her?? If there were no picture nobody would know how she looked based on the description given in the text and she would never be found. Not just because she has blonde hair but because it fails to mention the most obvious thing that would distinguish her from 95% of the population (and thus make it easier to find her) – she is black or African in origin. Don’t be so bloody pc and tell it like it is so people know who to look out for. You’re not helping anybody with your political correctness.

She was last see wearing—– and —– with flat school shoes.” That is how this would be reported in Canada and the US. I know, bc I’ve lived there. They aren’t as careful as we all are, walking over egg shells trying to use PC language and we end up sounding like ee#its. It’s not a crime or offensive to a black person to call them ‘black’. Why do so many in Ireland think it is?

This one seems serious as she’s been gone a while – fingers crossed she’s ok…..HOWEVER….seems alot of teenagers are going missing these days only to be found ‘safe and well’ a few days later with no explanations to the specifics of why they were missing….I would love to see stroppy kids being hit with a hefty charge at 21 for wasting police time…provided the conditions of them going missing were a strop and not trying to escape an abusive situation! Too many people gagging for their 15 minutes these days when time and effort could be going into real missing persons cases…..again, want to be clear, I’m not saying this case isn’t genuine.

What is it what all the missing people lately?

Obviously she had blonde hair in that photo, but again obviously its not her natural colour so presumably her current hair colour is the one that is in her description.
