#Aras11 diary: Where the candidates will be today

With just days to go until polling, this is one of your last chances to meet the presidential candidates. Here’s where they will be today.

AS THE CAMPAIGN for the presidential election continues, check out where you can meet the candidates today:

Mary Davis will take part in the RTÉ Radio 1 presidential debate, chaired by Charlie Bird this morning at 10am at DCU. At 2.15pm, she will visit Waterford City. From 4.30pm, she will canvass in New Ross. At 6pm, she will attend the official opening of White’s Hotel Art Exhibition in Wexford Town.

Seán Gallagher kicks off his day with the RTÉ Radio 1 debate at DCU. At noon he will make an appearance at the Irish Judo Open at the Citywest Convention Centre in Dublin. From 1.15 he will be in Naas in Kildare for some canvassing before travelling back to Dublin for the Over 50′s Show at the RDS.

Michael D Higgins also participates in the RTÉ debate with Charlie Bird at DCU’s Helix theatre. From 12.15pm, he will take a walkabout on Henry Street in Dublin. He will be joined by two of the Three Tenors. At 1.30pm, he will be joined by Emmet Stagg and Eamon Gilmore for a walkabout in Naas. From 2.45pm he will be in Athy in Kildare. As well as canvassing, he will stop by a shinty match at Geraldine Park. Next, he will travel to Portlaoise to meet voters from 3.45pm. He will then move onto Athlone for more canvassing from 5.15pm.

Gay Mitchell starts his day with the RTÉ debate at 10am. At 11.30am he will travel to the Orwell Shopping Centre in Dublin for canvassing. At 1pm he will lunch at D’Arcy Magee’s at the Spawell. At 2pm, he will meet the Irish women’s soccer team. Enda Kenny will join Mitchell for canvassing at The Square, Tallaght from 2.30pm. At 3.20pm, there will be more meet-and-greets at Liffey Valley Shopping Center. At 4.20pm, he is due to arrive at 2wheels cycles on Sandymount Green. He will also take a cycle around the green with a group of cyclists. At 5pm, there is a campaign rally with the Taoiseach and Health Minister James Reilly at the D4 Berkely Hotel.

David Norris will take part in the RTÉ Radio 1 debate before heading to Wexford Town where he will canvass from 2pm. He will also visit the town’s Opera Committee.

Dana Rosemary Scallon takes part in the RTÉ debate at DCU before heading to Cahir, Tipperary at 1.30pm to canvass. From 2.30pm she will be meeting voters in Mitchelstown before travelling to Cork City for 3.30pm.
