'Attempt to lure police' with suspicious object report in Armagh

One police vehicle has a window smashed when responding to the incident.

POLICE IN NORTHERN Ireland  are investigating the possibility that a report about a suspicious object may have been an attempt to attract police to the area to be attacked.

Earlier this evening the PSNI said it was investigating reports that a suspicious object had been left in the Tullygally area of Craigavon.

Police later confirmed that no suspicious object was found and the area was cleared. However one police vehicle had a window smashed when responding to the incident and the PSNI said reports may have been “an attempt to lure” police into the area.
