Third person arrested over fatal Dublin shooting

The 41-year-old victim was shot dead yesterday evening by a lone gunman.

A MAN IN his 20s has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 41-year-old man in Finglas, Dublin, yesterday.

The victim was shot dead at around 5pm yesterday evening on the Ballycoolin Road by a lone gunman. He was taken to Connolly Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Gardaí arrested a man in his 20s and a woman in her 30s yesterday following the shooting. They are continuing to detain them both at Finglas Garda Station.

The man arrested this morning is being held at Blanchardstown Garda Station.

A technical examination of the scene is still ongoing, gardaí said this afternoon.
