Arrest in Limerick over dissident republican activity

A man in his 40s is being detained at Henry Street Garda station following the search of a house this morning.

A MAN HAS been arrested in Limerick today by gardaí investigating the activities of dissident republicans in the area.

The man in his 40s was arrested following the search of a house this morning.

He is currently detained under the provision of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at Henry Street Garda Station.

A garda spokesperson said they would not be releasing any information about their findings during the search at this time.
