  • It says “this is what happens to you when you’re over in England, don’t go there. That’s my advice.” Very silly thing to say! Translation courtesy of my genius other half :)

    • So you and you tharlaion over in England – and stay out of the place to be completely. That’s my recommendation. That’s the Google Translation of it as I could not for the life of me make head nor tail of what Seamus was writing. Still can’t.

    • It means that the censorship nannies who are embarrassed about the existence of the Gaelic language and idiots who prefer it never existed as they hone their Dublin 4 accents – yaw the Ross O’Kelly mob -have won. My Gaelic responses to several different topics in a variety of hugely different responses from sympathetic to droll mainly resulted in hateful and negative responses (65%) towards YES more intelligent people seeing the piss being taken (35%) and laughing. One dope really went to the bother of translating that the existence of a badly burnt body in a wheely bin in England was a sectarian plot on my part to prevent Irish people visiting England. Stick the nanny manual out of sight……

    • Seamus in regards to your comment, I think that you are the only dope here. Your responses tend to be less than intelligent and more on the idiotic front.

We live in a country that has two official languages. Irish and English. The majority only speak English.
So as a matter of courtesy if you are going to write in Irish on a media site that reports in English you should include a translation for those that don’t speak Irish.

This has nothing to do with any sort of embarrassment/resentment over the Irish language. I am fluent and use Irish every day, but I use it with people who speak Irish. If I was on an Irish site I would not insist on speaking in English alone.

  • What a stupid statement. The exact same thing can happen anywhere. There isn’t much sense in your advice. Ar you a bit biased there Seamus. Or just a troll?
