Arrests after gun and drugs seized in Palmerstown

Gardaí from the Organised Crime Unit seized the items in Dublin last night during the search of a house. The drugs are believed to be worth more than €500,000.

DRUGS WORTH MORE than €500,000 were found during a search of a home by gardaí last night.

Also discovered during the search was a gun and ammunition. Gardaí seized a revolver and ammunition as well as quantities of ecstasy, cannabis resin, cannabis herb and cocaine which gardaí say may have a street value in excess of €500,000.

The search was carried out by gardaí from the Organised Crime Unit, which is attached to the National Criminal Investigation Bureau at Harcourt Square.

They seized the items following an operation in Palmerstown, Dublin 20. The search took place on 21 March at 10pm at a house in Palmers Court, Palmerstown Manor.

Three people were arrested at the scene, a man and woman in their 20s and a man in his 30s.

They are all detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Lucan and Ronanstown Garda Stations.
