Three arrested in Tipperary in dissident Republican probe

GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING dissident Republican activities have arrested three men in Co Tipperary.

The three were arrested this evening during an operation the N24 at Cahir.

The operation involved members of the Special Detective Unit, and other national and local Garda units.

The three men, who are all aged in their 30s, were arrested at the scene.

The men are currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act 1939, and are being questioned at Garda stations in Clonmel and Cahir.

A number of explosive devices were seized in the raid, along with two motor cars. Technical and ballistic examinations are ongoing.
