YESTERDAY, A CYBER attack hit computers at banks, companies and airports across Europe; today the same software is spreading to firms in the US and Australia.
The software demands owners pay $300, or €264, to get access back to their computers (although there’s no guarantee that will happen).
Although hackers have been targeting corporations and governments up until now, there are cases where individuals are hacked and can lose photos, documents, and anything else saved on their computer if they don’t pay.
So if your computer was attacked, would you pay the ransom?
