Young woman assaulted by 'thin, pale man with pock-marked skin'

The aggravated burglary happened yesterday morning.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for the public’s help following an aggravated burglary in south Dublin.

The incident happened in the Osprey/ Orwell area of Templeogue at around 11.20am yesterday morning.

The woman was alone in the house when the man, said to have a very thin, pock marked face and pale skin, broke in and assaulted her.

The suspected offender is aged between 40 and 50 years of age and is of average height with short hair.

He is clean shaven and spoke with an Irish accent.

He was wearing black clothing, a dark coloured baseball cap and dark sunglasses during the incident. He may also have been wearing a sleeveless jacket.

The man received a number of scratches to his face during the incident and a cut to his right finger – wounds that will still be fresh.

The scene was preserved and technically examined by gardaí and an incident room has been set up in Terenure Garda Station.

Anyone with any information can contact gardaí in Terenure on 016666400 or on the Garda Confidential Line, 1800 666111.
