A NEW REPORT by the Irish Australian Chamber of Commerce has found that 98% of Irish emigrants believe the government isn’t doing enough to encourage them to come home.
This is despite the fact that over three-quarters of them plan to return within five years.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny has said that he believes 2016 will see more emigrants returning to Ireland than leaving. He has said that he wants all Irish people to “feel the benefit of the recovery” and has set a target of 2018.
But will it work? Today’s question, is the government doing enough to bring emigrants home?
