Witnesses sought to fatal Co Galway crash

A woman in her 50s was killed when her car struck a wall on the Kiltomer to Portumna/Laurencetown road this morning.

A WOMAN IN HER 50s has been killed in a single vehicle crash in Co Galway this morning.

The car struck a wall at New Gate in Kiltomer on the road to Portumna/Laurencetown between 7.30am and 8am. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road is currently closed to facilitate a technical examination of the scene and diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact Ballinasloe Garda Station on 090 963 1890, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
