Man dies in two-car collision in Donegal

The collision happened on the Ballybofey to Glenfin Road, on the outskirts of Ballybofey, just after 3.30am this morning.

A MAN HAS died after a two-car collision outside Ballybofey in Donegal in the early hours of this morning.

The collision happened on the Ballybofey to Glenfin Road, on the outskirts of Ballybofey, just after 3.30am this morning.

A woman driver, aged in her early 40s, was travelling in one car and four others, one woman and three men aged in their 20s and 40s, were all injured.

They were taken to Letterkenny General Hospital where one of the men, in his 20s, was later pronounced dead. The other four have injuries which are described as non-life threatening.

The road is closed pending a forensic collision investigation and diversiosn are in place.

Gardaí have asked that any witnesses to the collision or anyone who was on the Ballybofey to Glenfin Road between 3.20am and 3.45am this morning to contact them.
