BBC broadcaster rebailed in Operation Yewtree investigation

Paul Gambaccini and another man have both been rebailed today.

BBC BROADCASTER PAUL Gambaccini has been rebailed as part of Operation Yewtree.

BBC News reports that Gambaccini and another man were rebailed by police today as part of the operation, which is investigating claims of historic sexual offences.

In November, Gambaccini was arrested for the first time as part of Operation Yewtree at his home in South London.

The operation was launched after allegations against the late BBC DJ Jimmy Savile emerged.

Yewtree has three strands: allegations involving Savile, allegations involving Savile and others, and allegations involving others.

Gambaccini and the second man fall under the strand of Yewtree termed ‘others’, said the BBC. Their bail has now been extended until March.
