Belfast dad who murdered 14-week-old son is to father another child

Ryan Leslie’s new girlfriend is six weeks pregnant as he prepares to begin a minimum 17 year prison sentence.

THE FATHER WHO was yesterday jailed for murdering his 14-week-old son is to become a father again with his new girlfriend according to a report.

The Irish News reports that Ryan Leslie, 26, is to father a child with his new girlfriend who is around six weeks pregnant.

Leslie was yesterday sentenced to a minimum 17 years in prison at Belfast Crown Court after he was convicted in February of the brutal murder of his son Cameron Jay Leslie.

The 14-week-old boy was brought to hospital in September 2008 suffering from a blunt force trauma to the head as well as 14 fractured ribs.

A post-mortem later revealed that Cameron had suffered significant brain damage and bruising all over his body, not all injuries occurring at the same time.

Ryan Leslie, claimed the baby had banged his head on a plastic bath at home but a medical expert told the court this explanation was “implausible” and Leslie was later convicted of murdering his own son.

Cameron’s mother Sheree Black yesterday reacted to the news that Leslie is to become a father again with his new girlfriend, saying outside the court: “Her child will only have a chance now because he is locked up.”
