18-year-old shot in the leg at fast food restaurant

Three masked men were involved in the shooting last night at the food outlet in Belfast.

AN 18-YEAR-old in Belfast was shot at a fast food restaurant yesterday by three masked men.

Shortly after 9pm last night, three men wearing balaclavas entered the fast food outlet close to the junction of Falls Road and Thames Street. They went to the back of the premises and shot an 18-year-old man twice in the right leg.

He was taken to hospital and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. The three men are described as being dressed in black and wearing balaclavas. They made off on foot along Thames Street.

Detective Inspector Jenna Fitzpatrick appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to contact CID at Woodbourne Police Station on the non=emergency number 101. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
