These are the best pubs, restaurants and hotels in Ireland, apparently

DOHENY & NESBITT HAS been named the best overall pub at the 10th annual National Hospitality Conference and Awards.

Pubs, hotels and restaurants throughout the country were given accolades at the ceremony.

Ashford Castle in Mayo was named best overall hotel, while best value hotel went to Castlewood House in Dingle and Tankardstown House Hotel in Slane was named best boutique hotel.

The Westbury Hotel just off Grafton Street won best city hotel, while the Dean hotel – also located in Dublin city – was named best new establishment.

The best overall restaurant award stayed in the capital with Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud once again coming out on top this year, this time ahead of Galway duo Aniar and Loam.

Loam picked up one of the major awards after it was named as the best dining experience.

Elsewhere, Lowry’s Bar Clifden was named best traditional bar, ahead of Dublin’s Toners Pub and James Griffin Pub in Trim.

The Wright Venue in Swords was crowned best nightclub.

The awards were held in at the InterContinental Hotel in Dublin in association with Hospitality Ireland magazine.
