Bill Cullen says 'entrepreneurs have no future' following hotel receivership

Bill Cullen and Jackie Lavin have said that they are “devastated” following the decision to reappoint a receiver to the Muckross Park Hotel in Killarney, Co Kerry.

BILL CULLEN AND Jackie Lavin have said that they are “devastated”, following the reappointment of a receiver to the Muckross Park Hotel in Killarney, Co Kerry.

Yesterday’s High Court judgement resulted in the couple losing their bid to continue running the five-star hotel.

The setback is the latest to befall Cullen, who has already lost control of Glencullen Holdings Ltd which operated his last two Renault dealerships in Airside and Liffey Valley in Dublin.

In a statement released on behalf of Cullen and Lavin, they said that they were “now very worried for their suppliers, customers and staff”.

Unfortunately in this instance a point of law protected the bank and went against them and they feel with even more certainty that entrepreneurs have no future in Irish life.
