Body found in burnt-out car in Kildare

Gardaí are not currently treating the incident as suspicious.

GARDAÍ IN NAAS are investigating the discovery of a body in a car at a car park in Eadestown, Co Kildare at 11.30 this morning.

The car was burnt-out and a garda spokesperson told TheJournal.ie that it has not yet been possible to identify the age or sex of the deceased. They said all circumstances are being investigated but at present the incident is not being treated as suspicious.

It is understood that the body was not found in the boot of the car.

The scene is currently sealed off for a forensic and technical examination.
