A 21-YEAR-OLD British traveller has shown up after an international search effort was initiated by his family.

Jordan Jacobs had been missing since 11 December from the tourist destination of Ko Phi Phi Don.

Speaking to The Telegraph earlier today, he said that he had been “chilling out” and “perhaps having a bit too much fun”.

Concern was raised after he sent a message to his family saying that he could ‘never see them again’ and that he was being held by an unidentified Thai man.

Speaking to the newspaper from a town on the island where he was staying, he was unclear about the details of the contact he’d had with his family.

He had been due to fly home for Christmas.

His sister Emily Jacobs told the Mail Online that on the morning of Saturday 12 December their mother received a Facebook message saying that he could never see his family again and that he loved them.

Writing on her Facebook, she has said:

Any information no matter how small you think it is could be huge. Any sightings or potential sightings. Any contact. Anything.

Speaking to The Telegraph, local island police chief Jetsada Junphum said:

We have received reports that Jordan is missing and everyone here is looking for him.

Emily Jacobs said that the last known sighting of her brother was at a restaurant in the area where he was staying when he used another traveller’s phone to make a call.

After this he left his hostel on the mainland to go to Koh Phi Phi Don, going with a local man that he met in a laundrette.

“That evening (Thai local time) was when he called my parents. He was upset,” she wrote.

My parents haven’t spoken to him since.

In the restaurant where he was last seen before his disappearance the owner described him walking up to a Cypriot tourist wearing no shoes and without a bag.

Jordan Jacobs has been travelling for more than a year. A Facebook post appealing for his return was shared more than 3,000 times.
