Budget Eve, when Santa comes in the letterbox and takes everything back.
Bought lube so been riden tomorrow by Noonan won’t be as painful. I am brilliant.
real INTERESTING watching a real smart man on frontline ask HAYES really making the point while MR B HAYES squirmed a real real real little bit when faced with the cold hard truth on the matter looking just the smallest bit flustered trying to get a answer out in reply.. and observed with great admiration most of the audience appeared to clap their hands at watching the real consensus and real real accurate perception by the wise man in the audience..
its not the first time ive seen mr hayes a little uncomfortable.. usually vin b gives him the lesson as in straight taking no cobwebs etc..
I hope the drink don’t go up in price, its hard enough as it is the locals won’t be pleased and my boss is grumpy sod.
Amidst all the government bashing and talks of who you will vote for in the next election, can we all just spare a moment to remember who put us in this mess. FG and Labour knew what they were taking on, they have been signed into it, yet they do what they can from the straight-jacket they are in. Maybe austerity isn’t the best option but they have little choice. Vent your frustrations at those too cowardly to stick their heads above the parapet, the Cowens, McAreevys and the Galway races gang. Cut the government some slack, at least they are standing up and trying to sort it out. It might not be the right option but they are there to fiix someone elses mess.
Cut dem some slack
Are you for real?
They ain’t do the best for the country, their doing the best for their own pockets, the bankers pockets, and keeping Merkel sweet.
How else do u think they would get away with rising their own wages to €497,500 EACH! And this is including the bankers and all!
Yet cut and slash the working, the poor people, the elderly the sick whilst lining their own pockets!
They make me sick to my back teeth. They got into the power they are in by lying through their teeth and then when they got in broke every last promise they made to the Irish people.
If the president of ireland had any sense he would dissolute the dail with immediate effect, but no he,s also Fine Gael so that won’t happen either.
So the only way out is a revolution!

Not a single FG troll to be found on here….suprise, suprise.
Is it fair to say thejournal.ie has an agenda?
Or can I not say that?
No Les, it’s a genuine question. I like balanced news and recently I have been wondering have I been getting that on thejournal and todays “Sentiment of the Day” got me thinking.
You can’t even question (even with fact) anti-government sentiment on here without being strongly attacked anymore. Reasoned argument seems to have gone out the window.
And for the record, I am as fearful about the budget as the next man.
Remember Lenihan’s last budget. He gave a self employed person earning a million a year 25k a year extra in relief, while a person on 25k had to pay an extra 900 approx. Noonan isn’t as bad an egg as that one was but u can be certain that if you among the richest in the country that the cut will break the skin for you while it will go to the bone for the rest of us.
