Couple attacked by burglars after returning home with their children

The three burglars, described as eastern European men, took a sum of money and phones.

A COUPLE IN Galway were attacked by three burglars as they returned to their home with their two children.

Gardaí said today the man and woman who are both in their early 30s were returning to their home in Parkwest, Clonberne yesterday at 7.30pm. Three men entered the house and assaulted the couple, taking a sum of money and phones before leaving the house.

The man and woman sustained non life-threatening injuries in the attack and their children were uninjured.

The burglars are described as being eastern European men, thinly built and between 5’6″ and 5’9″ in height. It is not known which direction they took as they left the house.

Investigating gardaí in Tuam are seeking the public’s assistance, asking anyone who may have seen anything unusual in the area around the time of the aggravated burglary to contact them on on 093 70840, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
