Dilemma

The Burning Question*: Should you use a big umbrella on busy streets?

Let TheJournal.ie distract you from the ‘serious’ news with one of life’s REAL dilemmas. (*not really)

WE KNOW HOW you feel. It’s Monday, you have the whole week looming ahead, and you have a lot on your plate.

So do like we do here in TheJournal.ie HQ and get stuck into a serious debate on one of life’s most pressing issues.

Possibly.

This week: It’s really gross out. The rain. The wind. The grey. We all got soaked coming into work after allowing the hats/hoods/scarves win out in the battle of whether to bring the crappy, little umbrella with us, given that it would probably have ended up like this:

It got us thinking about all those lads and ladies we’ve cussed in the past for bringing their extra-large umbrellas into the city’s busy streets, near-poking our eyes out, knocking our aforementioned hats off or sending us swerving into deep puddles.

But, do they actually have the right idea?

Today, we ask: Should you use a big umbrella on busy streets?

Poll Results:

Can't we all just get along (1423)
No, they are city killers and go against all footpath etiquette (1246)
Yes, anything to keep me in my own personal dry haven (278)
