Joan Burton and Michael Noonan are the most popular ministers

Fine Gael jumped four points in the poll with 30 per cent of people saying the would vote for the party if there was an election tomorrow.

A NEW POLL has revealed that voters are most satisfied with Minister for Social Protection Joan Burton and Finance Minister Michael Noonan.

They both had a satisfaction level of 41 per cent in the latest Irish Times/Ipsos MRBI poll, which was conducted at the start of this week.

While theses two ministers came out on top, the poll also revealed considerable dissatisfaction with them – 41 per cent for Burton and 42 per cent for Noonan.

Minister for Health James Reilly fared worst, as just 15 per cent of people said they were satisfied with him, while 52 per cent were dissatisfied.

Both Simon Coveney and Frances Fitzgerald had satisfaction levels of 39 per cent, with the Minister for Children doing well despite the creche controversy this year.

Fine Gael saw a four point jump in the number of people who would vote for them if an election was held tomorrow.  Just nine per cent said they would vote Labour, though this is up three per cent since the last poll. Some 22 per cent favoured Fianna Fáil, 21 per cent Sinn Féin and 18 per cent Independents or others.
