Man released over death of Jason Saunders who was found beaten outside Dublin pub

Saunders was found outside the Cabra House Pub on Fassaugh Avenue yesterday morning.

ONE OF THE two men arrested over the death 21-year-old Jason Saunders in Dublin has been released without charge.

The 25-year-old man was arrested at about midday yesterday and was being held at Blanchardstown garda station until he was released this afternoon.

Gardaí say that a file is to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Saunders was found outside the Cabra House Pub on Fassaugh Avenue at about 7:40 am yesterday after suffering what were described as serious injuries to his upper body.

He was taken to Mater Hospital where he was pronounced dead about an hour later.

Gardaí recovered a golf club not far from where his body was found which has been taken away for analysis.

A second 23-year-old man also held in connection with the killing remains in custody at Finglas Garda Station.
