€60,000 worth of cannabis found at a house in Cork

A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and is being held by gardaí.

GARDAÍ HAVE ARRESTED a man in his 40s after a quantity of drugs was found at a house in Midleton, Co Cork.

A planned search of a house at Ballycotton was carried out at 3.30pm yesterday. During the search, cannabis herb with an estimated street value of up to €60,000 was discovered.

The man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at Midleton Garda Station.

Gardaí have said these kinds of operations play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and their ability to carry out illegal activities.
