€278,000 worth of cannabis seized in Dublin and Donegal

Three people were arrested yesterday in the two separate operations.

GARDAÍ HAVE RELEASED details of three substantial operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in two counties.

Yesterday, cannabis with an estimated street value of €60,000 was seized when gardaí stopped and searched a car in Clondalkin. A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene.

In a follow-up operation, gardaí discovered a further €90,000 worth of cannabis at a house in Baldoyle and arrested a woman in her 20s. Both the man and woman remain in garda custody.

A separate operation yesterday in Portsalon, Donegal, also resulted in a seizure of 321 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €128,000.

A 28-year-old man was arrested in connection with the seizure and is being detained at Letterkenny Garda Station.
