€300,000 worth of cannabis plants seized in Leitrim

A 43-year-old man has been arrested and is being held at Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station.

GARDAÍ HAVE SEIZED €300,000 worth of cannabis plants in Leitrim today.

As part of an intelligence-led operation, a planned search of a house in Church Manor, Carrigallen was carried out this morning.

The cannabis plants were discovered as part of the search and a 43-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

He is currently being held at Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station.

Gardaí said today that there was another seizure of some 250 plants at two adjoining properties in Kerry yesterday. This haul has a street value of around €200,000.
