Pics: Cannabis plants seized in midnight raid in Carlow town

Gardaí seized cannabis plants worth an estimated €120,000 in the raid on a house at 2.15am.

GARDAÍ SEIZED CANNABIS plants worth an estimated €120,000 in a raid on a house in Carlow during the night.

The search of the house in the Fairways area of Carlow town happened at around 2.15am this morning.

Gardaí seized the plants and also found equipment for the cultivation of cannabis plants.

A man in his late 20s was arrested at the scene and is being held at Carlow Garda Station where he can be detained for up to 7 days.

The scene is currently being examined by investigators and gardaí said that enquiries are ongoing.
