Half a million euro worth of cannabis found in shipment of toilets

A 24-YEAR-old man is due in court later today charged in connection with the seizure in Meath of half a million euro worth of cannabis, which had been concealed in toilets.

Following an intelligence-led Revenue and garda operation focusing on the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the North East of the country, officers from Revenue’s Customs Service seized the 24kgs of herbal cannabis yesterday.

The drugs have an estimated street value of €500,000.

The cannabis, which originated in Spain, was concealed in a shipment of toilets, and was discovered following the search of a yard in Duleek. The 24-year-old Irish man was arrested and will appear in court today.
