RECKON YOU’VE GOT a keen photographer’s eye?

Dabbled a bit in photography, but not sure how to take it to the next level and showcase your work, or just get it out there to a larger audience?

Well, we’re here to help.

Canon and TheJournal.ie want to help readers capture the grit and heart of Ireland by inspiring amateur photographers around the country to develop their talent.

We’re asking you to capture the essence of your home town or county. We’d like to see pictures that give us an insight into your area that others won’t have seen before.

To do this, we’ll select 3 budding photographers to give the use of a Canon EOS 750D DSLR camera, delivering it right to the door. Then, week by week, we will profile the work of each photographer on TheJournal.ie, giving our readers your unique perspective on modern Ireland through beautiful images.

In the final week, TheJournal.ie commenters will pick their favourite photos, and the work will be showcased in Dublin at an exclusive gallery exhibition – more on which later.

Not only that, but one photographer will win a Canon 750 DSLR camera, a Selphy CP910 compact photoprinter and a half-day DSLR training course. The two runners-up will win a Selphy CP910 photoprinter each.
