Woman injured after being dragged from car in hijacking

The car was later found burnt out on the Crumlin Road in Belfast.

DETECTIVES IN ANTRIM are appealing for witnesses following a hijacking in Newtownabbey this week.

A woman was dragged from her vehicle and received minor injuries during the incident.

It happened on Grainon Way at around 10pm on Thursday night.

The car, a black Vauxhall Zafira, was later found burnt out on the Crumlin Road in Belfast.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact Detectives at Antrim Police Station on 101 quoting reference number 1437 of 28/07/2016.
