Man dies seven weeks after being shot in Dublin

Carl Wynne was shot on 30 May and died in Tallaght Hospital this morning.

A 45-YEAR-OLD MAN has died in a hospital, seven weeks after he was shot outside a Dublin shopping centre.

Carl Wynne of Russell Court in Tallaght was found outside St Dominic’s Shopping Centre in Dublin 24 with gunshot wounds on the night of 30 May. He was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he died of his injuries this morning.

The State Pathologist will carry out a post mortem examination to establish the exact cause of death.

Gardaí have renewed their appeal for anyone with information about the shooting or who may have seen any suspicious or unusual activity in the vicinity of Mountain Park Road on the night of 30 May to contact them.

They are especially interested in anyone who may have seen a black motorcycle with a driver and pillion passenger, both wearing dark clothes, in the area at the time.
